Viruses (potentially from 3rd Party downloads)

Violation of moral and license requirements

Inclusion of copyrighted materials

Hello, we’re announcing that we after a long period of discussing the subject of what either to support and use resources on the iPhodroid installer have decided with the recently released windows version find it to be violating many moral and license requirements. This will now mean: we will not provide any form of support and/or advertising for iPhodroid as we do not find this a legitimate piece of software. Signs and notions have been made towards the inclusion of copyrighted material (Launcher Pro beta and iTunes DLL’s), along with that we’ve received complaints that the releases posted may have included viruses (signs shows it was not the ones downloaded off iphodroid.googlecode.com!) but instead may have been a third party or beta upload!

This means:

1. Locking iPhodroid forums, removing links and advertising to the project

2. No support for iPhodroid on this site until changes have been made and agreements have been made regarding the approval of iPhodroid.
clean and approved releases

This Sunday August 29th, iPhoDroid for Windows will be released to the masses. This application will allow you to dual boot Android Froyo along with the iPhone OS on your iPhone 2G/3G in one shot with a single click.

The project is based on PlanetBeing’s work on the iDroid Project. PlanetBeing was the first to successfully load the Android OS on an iPhone 2G. His work along with others has also allowed some iPod devices and iPhone 3G to load Android with varying functionality as well. The first official iDroid Project, dubbed iDroid v1.0 MoJo, released 4 August, 2010.

An alpha version of iPhoDroid is available for Dev testing should you choose not to wait.

[ iDroid Project Wiki ]

[ @PlanetBeing's Twitter ]

[ PlanetBeing's Website: Linux on iPhone ]

EDIT @ 3/9/2010: Links to this project removed. Support has been retracted from the iDroid community.

After continual promises of releases with no delivery and loops to bring traffic to the front page of this iPhoDroid project to possibly increase revenue, various components of the project are also in violation of moral and license agreements. Potential viruses may be in these packages from 3rd party uploads.
