I thought I was pretty decent at my geography. Now I know I really suck. I know nothing about Africa or Europe. And the rest, it gets a little fuzzy. Give it a shot, it’s fun and educational, but it gets difficult fast. Wait until level 7.
Anyways, it’s called Globetrotter XL (requires registration, but records your score etc). There is an alternate site which has no registration. I found this game to be a little inaccurate. Technically Réunion is not a country and neither is Newfoundland.
If you want to play against other people, there’s Geosense.
There’s even a FreePoverty version where you can donate water depending on how well you (not even sure if they will do this).
Apparently there are iPhone games too: GeoTap, iGeo and WorldTraveller.
Lots of ways to improve your knowledge. World has changed a lot since I studied the countries in school. Back then Czechoslovakia and USSR were still being thrown around in the class.
